Key Accountabilities
- Perform business processes analyses and requirement gathering
- Devise, implement and maintain efficient and secured techniques/procedures for effective data management
- Define rules and procedures for data sharing with third party (e.g. management, stakeholders)
- Ensure Data Quality (e.g. Data lineage, Data Lifecycle Management, master data management etc.)
- Monitor and analyze information and data systems and assess their performance in order to enhance them (e.g. new technologies, upgrades etc.)
- Manage ETL tools used to build the Data warehouse from various sources and maintain SQL - PL/SQL procedures
- Perform multidimensional modeling: Star, Snow Flake etc.
- Assess system performance and make recommendations for software, hardware, and data storage improvements.
- Process the project data: supervise the data input & control their quality to avoid double entries, clean up and check for data errors and make first comments after processing
- Oversee, manage and train end-users on the daily use of data systems
- Ensure digital databases and archives are protected against security breaches and data losses & continually develop data management strategies.
- Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
- Perform data extractions, Reports / Dashboards and KPI
- Ensure SQL Server Administration level 1 (e.g. Backup & Restore, Flows monitoring, Maintenance Plan, Performance, Troubleshooting etc.)
KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Master‘s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions
- Ability to decipher and organize large amounts of data in a Datawarehouse
- Analytical mindset with good communication and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational and relational skills, precision, ability to manage an important workload and respect deadlines.
- Methodical, autonomous and rigorous approach to work, showing dynamism, dedication and team-spirit
- Ability to simultaneously approach project management problems, data-processing problems, relation with users, providers, drafting of documents and the functional aspects of the activity
- Experience in the biomedical sector is an asset
- Fluent in French and English.
Required:
- Strong experience and knowledge of concepts related to architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouses / databases, Data Quality and Business Intelligence
- Strong experience in MS SQL Database and MS SQL BI Suite (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, MDS, Power BI)
- Extensive experience in Data Warehousing
- Extensive experience in Data Governance (Data Management, Modelling, Architecture etc.)
- Programming experience (e.g. JAVA, PL/SQL, DAX, NoSQL, T-SQL)
Considered as an asset:
- Knowledge of: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Talend, Oracle, SQL Server, Jira, Confluence, GIT, Flyway, REST API, Python, Angular2, Scripting, GDPR, MDX
